From Outcast to Accepted

Danamaiah is ten years old. He was born with an undeveloped brain and is unable to walk or talk. Even after several visits to the hospital, doctors were unable to help him and had no answers for his parents. The prescribed medicines did not help.

Danamaiah’s parent’s labor in the fields to provide for their large family. This makes it difficult for them to care for him.

We were able to provide him with a wheelchair. This made things easier for his family; because he is now able to go outside. Now, his parents can take him to the fields and keep a watchful eye on him while they work.

When Good Life visits him and his family, he is always excited and greets them. He expresses his joy and thankfulness through various sounds that he makes.

Not all children with special needs are valued and as Good Life has shown these precious children love and provided for their needs, parents have begun to value them more. Even their communities begin to value children, like Danamaiah.
